Region of Peel’s Vision:
In January 2019, a restructure of the Region’s Housing Division brought Housing and Homelessness Services together to enable the execution of the Peel’s Housing and Homelessness 10 Year Plan (PHHP) and deliver services to achieve the outcomes. As a result, Housing Services and partners now operate as one integrated service supporting one common client however the lack of adequate technology is a hinderance in meeting the business needs efficiently.
The Region was looking for a solution that will enable the delivery of the entire Housing continuum, management of housing units, and the operational management of the Housing Division. Using technology, the Region needed not only to effectively deliver housing services to clients but also to cultivate relationships to manage, gain and build new housing units.

Impact: The new solution, based on Salesforce and Salesforce Public Sector Industries Solution, will allow more than 60+ partnering agencies and over 20,000 clients to manage the most needed housing services. The Region of Peel now can handle and service providers and the residents of Peel who need housing help through an efficient solution which includes, Client screening and unified intake process, Housing and rent subsidy, Placement and Tenancy management, management of stock and inventory, One case file, improved provider experience and most significantly a Centralized Waitlist.
